This scarf features a story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) which in Islam, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) is considered to be one of the greatest men in the history of humanity.
Prophet Ibrahim (AS), was given the title ‘KHALILULLAH’, which means ‘the friend of Allah’. He was the forefather of many great Prophets and is among the 25 prophets mentioned in the Quran.
This scarf features a story of his sacrifice which has been carried across millennia and the example of his unwavering faith in Allah (SWT) continues to inspire Muslims of each generation.
As we approach another Eid al-Adha, Muslims reflect on the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and its important message.
By giving Qurban, we follow the same footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and remember his devotion to Allah (SWT), with an additional obligation to the poor. Performing the sacrifice for the sake of Allah (SWT) requires Muslims to reflect and approach the sacrifice with sincere intention like Ibrahim (AS).
With this sacred act of sacrifice, Muslims reflect on the many significant messages of this story and beyond, including our duty to those who are struggling, the sanctity of Allah (SWT)’s creation and the world around us.
Therefore, the significance of Qurban is a lesson in obedience and submission. We must obey Allah’s (SWT) command without pause. We must perform the tasks He has ordained compulsory for all Muslims, such as praying Salat, performing Sawm, paying Zakat, and embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage.
May Allah (SWT) enable us to perform the Sunnah of Ibrahim (AS) year in and year out.
