It focuses on uniting people to call for global solidarity and stand together with everyone from all walks of life affected by the crisis. We unite as one humanity as we share a common responsibility to reach those furthest behind, help the most vulnerable, and support each other – Let’s unite. Learn from each other. See our shapes don’t define us. Our skin colour doesn’t define us. Our stories do. We’re absolute individuals. Originals. One of a kind. Yet we are all connected by our humanity. Can we fit in and still stand out? Of course we can. We already do. But alone we can do so little. Collectively we can do so much. We stand stronger when we stand together.
Hence, this scarf. We chose butterflies because they are deep and powerful representations of life. Butterflies are not only beautiful, but also have mystery, symbolism and meaning and are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope and life. The magnificent, yet short life of the butterfly closely mirrors the process of spiritual transformation and serves to remind us that life is short. So don’t waste it. Let’s not let the Covid-19 put a stop to building a community of love and kindness. We shall stand together to continue this struggle as this is not the time for us to find faults and to pointlessly point fingers. Just understand that when we stand together, we will always win; may we continue to persevere to achieve victory which is to break the Covid-19 chain in our country, in shaa Allah. This festive edition will be launched in conjunction with our National Day. This scarf comes in two gorgeous shades and was inspired by our 13 states;

The solidarity scarf was inspired by the 13 states and heritage: and the color of the butterflies (bold version) are mainly adopted from the official state flag colors. Featuring the modern hues we would also manage to retain the traditional elements in it. The timeless butterfly motifs paired with the batik cracking technique beautifully compliments the Malaysia-lity filled with it’s 13 beautiful flag colors of states. To top it off, a cute trail of the OMERA logo can be seen ‘scattering’ around the scarf. Crafted from premium satin, this scarf comes in both pastel and vibrant colour palette. Given some classier and evergreen names for both colors – Unity / Perpaduan (Bold) and Harmony / Keharmonian (Pastel).
